the digital one is very cool, having a thermostat and all, it can be a fully automatic CC, rather than the ole, "i'm too cold, I'll turn down the AC *click*". If someone else is installing it, and it doesn't cost too much extra, I'd go for it. Installing one yourself is close to impossible, several sensors and wiring, plus it has to have an always on battery draw or it loses your settings, etc etc etc.
If you trust the installer, I'd say go for it; there are VERY few 240s around with the digital cc.
sweeeett =D the digital ac is not gona cost me extra, is in the labor...and yes i trust the shop im gettin my swap done at (MPHautmod!) JDM air in my face nikkka! :)

no ordinary person has digital climate control, only the few, the select, the hardcore of the USDM 240SX owners.
good luck, your weaksauce shop wont install it. why? because no one would install something so detailed for FREE. thats a lot of work brah.

its a lot of work.. thats all. ive had the parts on my workbench all day, i've been setting it all up to work. if they're gonna attempt to do it, and do it for free.. i wish ya luck.
i got my shit mostly working, now i just gotta make sure all my schematics are right before i do my final install.
its not about being JDM-tyte, its about knowing your electrical, BABY. there's only one man in florida, and you should be taking it to Estevanovich Motoring SPL.

its almost impossible for me to understand why you're bragging on being a pussy and letting someone else accomplish this feat. if you DO come back all happy that you got this stupid "jdm air blowing in your face...n###a" then post a picture of the guy who did it and leave your ass at home.

I have the digital in my 14 and the manual in the 13 the digital is soooo much better it has the built in thermostat regulator and will maintain the temp value it is set at well. the manul you have.........well you know how it is.

And the point would be? We all know how the digital unit works, it's pretty common in a lot of cars in the US. The debate is whether or not the kid will actually get it working or not, which is funny because when a shop does a motor install they don't give an option of which climate control you want to use. It's not like anything involved in the swap will have any bearing on what's in the dash.

it just makes me laugh because of how much work is REALLY needed, only those who have been that path can comment.
i've had the components including the HVAC vent boxes on my workbench for a good 3 days, i've gotten almost everything working out of the car. last (and most important part) is getting the AC operational.
while everyone can comment on the electrical, there's still a bit of work that needs to be done with the temp control and other adjustments for the vent control and recirc actuators. Some of this stuff plops in, other parts need work and customization.
lets not even mention, how clean you want the wiring and installation to be varies on how much time they plan on "giving you." stuff thats free isnt usually that neat, its done as quickly as possible.
either way, good luck.. we all have our own projects now, dont we.

i just sold a 100% complete setup, i have a pretty good knowledge of wiring and electronics.
fuck that waste of time, theres virtually no point to it, besides JdM tYtE bLinGiN.
im cool on that, you have digital ac, ill stick with havin a clean, functional car :)

what about the fact that some people like things that are:
1) different
2) functional
3) pretty
4) rare
5) not easy to attain or install
all of those reasons put me up to the challenge. besides the fact, my clip is a 96-98 black top and came with all of it.. and i transplanted the entire clip and am rewiring everything to make it all nice and neat.
all depends what you want now, doesnt it? some people are okay with US harnesses blended with JDM harnesses. i want things to be my way, thats all
