So I really do not want to reroute battery to the trunk and have been doing research on smaller batteries. Ppl have used odessey pc680t batteries but I want to see if anyone has had luck with a miata battery as I've heard some people suggest. If anyone is using the smaller miata battery does it cause more wear and cause alternator to not last and fail prematurely? Also I only have 2 4x6 door speakers running to my head unit for "sound system" lol but I do have hids which I know take a lot of juice. Anyone ever use the miata battery? Down the road I May relocate it to the trunk but right now it is not an option

People use walmart lawn mower batteries....doesn't mean its ideal but it works.
I don't see how relocating it to the trunk is "not an option" when you're talking about spending $120 on a weak battery?
A battery box is like $12 and a length of cable is probably around $20 and a distro block maybe $10. Putting the battery in the trunk is extremely easy.

The reason is not a concern, if you are not answering my direct question please do not respond. I have a miata battery that is a little over a year old from a previous project and would like to fit it in. It is smaller and lighter and if it would not be a problem I would indeed relocate it down the road.

They work just fine. You're overthinking it.

I replace mine every two or three years just on principle but I've never had a problem.

Fits sideways in the battery tray, just have to make a new tie-down for it which takes like $5.
