Just wanted to make a thread about some critical information that I found out through a fellow member, BadBob2121 (Much thanks for this) and searching around other forums. Not trying to bash anyone or any products but I did some research and found out that there have been some instances in which the Russell SAE Quick-Connect EFI Adapter Fitting PUSH ON Style have popped off under high pressure demand. On a few occasions the results are less than good. On a few instances some people have lost their entire projects and the cause was ruled to the Quick Disconnect Fitting coming off spewing fuel.

These fittings are used on some fuel kits including Sikky Fuel Filter Kits. The fittings you want to avoid are the top ones in the link "Push On Style". The ones you want to use are the "Screw On Style".

I ordered TWO 644110 and ONE 644120 fittings for my setup. This newer design should do the trick and well worth the <$60 investment to make sure I dont have to worry about my fittings popping off under high pressure load. Hope this helps.

Good catch.

And I'm glad I saw this. I have the compression style adapter. I've never seen these, but I like them because you don't have to cut off the bubble flare.

Sup KA....yeah I had used the ones in the Sikky Kit and was following BadBob's build and found out this info. I started doing some research and found out they can pop off and saw a few terrible instances where the entire project was lost. The fittings are less than $20 each and took me a whole 5 mins to change them out. The Fueled Racing kit uses the screw on type but the Sikky kit uses the quick disconnect.

Good info wonder if they make any like the OEM style uses where there's a clip that goes over the quick disconnect to hold them together

Damn REALLY I am glad it didn't cause any serious damage. Hope the fuel didn't get in your eyes/mouth.

From what I understand DORMAN makes some connectors like OEM but I don't know the part #.

Look into the jiffy-tite quick connects. They are guaranteed not to leak. I run these on all of my high pressure lines and they work great imho

Those look bad ass but about double the cost of the Russell ones.
