1JZ vvti guys chime in

anybody have a 1jz vvti in a s13? just wondering what your experiences are driving on the highway. its gotten pretty cold here so not sure if its just boost happy but i can't keep a steady paste w/o it trying to build boost. i know it builds boost at pretty low RPMs being a stock turbo. throttle is pretty touchy so I will adjust that.

dont get me wrong, I love that its running great but when i just came home the hot side of the turbo is glowing red hot. im kind of assuming this is normal (its dark out so maybe its more apparent?)
