I bought an arc fmic, just installed it today, was pretty simple. ligned up nicely, mounts rock solid, and from what I hear they are one of the best out there.

Keep your butt hole tight!
Seriosly though, FMICs are about as effective as it gets, and are definitely worth the money. I've heard great things about Spearco.

i have a greddy rspl for my sr20. i got it because its large capacity for an upgraded turbo and the bling. :boink: I paid 800 with piping but that was a pretty good deal. thanks brandon.
here is the link for pics with and without the bumper:

Greddy is where it's at. Very effective and also they can now be had for a great price. Look into one of those or the HKS or Blitz FMIC. Also if you can find one of the Hybrid brand intercooler kits those were sick ass kits for really cheap. But I think that they were a short run type of thing as I can't seem to find them anymore.

Got blitz...everything lined up properly. Id say blitz and HKS is prolly the best kit/fitment out there but they're both on the expensive side. Greddy, they're good and prices are cheaper than the 2 but ive heard you still have to play around with the pipings to make em work. That was prolly the reason why i decided to go with Blitz...common...doesnt that FMIC jes scream...STEAL ME??? *prolly the reason why imma paint it all black.

i'm using the spearco core that f-max includes in their s14 turbo kit.it's bar and plate core.has nice endtanks, and isn't overly huge.i had to trash the bumper support to put it where i wanted it.and make my own pipes, but i like it.
Blitz LM just cuz everybody else has it ! muawhaha

hybrid super monster intercooler sexier than allayalls! waiting in my basement for the rest of the boost. im probabbly gonna mount some mesh to my bumper up front and paint it black to lessen the bling a little because id prefer not.

How much did everyone have to modify their bumpers and supports?

well I had to cut out like 2.5 feet of the metal support. I might have been able to notch it but im over it. also I had to cut out like a 1.5x3.5 inch bit of bumper from each side, you cant see it though unless your right up to it.
btw if your gonna go mainstream, IE: greddy, hks, blitz, my vote would be the blitz lm also. not overly expensive but a nice product, but I still like my arc.

yeah my greddy piping was real messed up but thats what you get when you have an s14 intercooler for the s14 chassis and engine and have a blacktop s13 motor in there. didn't have to buy extra piping just had to take a sawzall to everything.

my bumpercover fits it great(JUN S14) but i had to throw the real bumper away.as well as the ends of the framerails.i did save about 70 lbs though.

For my fmic, i kept some part of the bumper...i jes cut the middle part to fit the IC itself and cut 2 holes for the piping to come tru. I bought a circular saw attachment to a drill to cut out the holes for the piping and it came out pretty well. Battery will either need to be relocated to the trunk or get a smaller marine boat battery...i chose to relocate mine.
Also a couple of notes from experience
a. Get the FMIC for the ENGINE...not the chassis. Reason is cuz of the difference in the cold pipes between S14 and S13 SR.
b. If your running a Greddy MANIFOLD *atleast in an S13 SR* you dont need the GREDDY COLDPIPE if you got a FMIC kit...you can simple cut the cold pipe and it should line up to the manifold.

I bought a Blitz LM and spraypainted the front with radiator paint to make it stealthly. It's a nice kit. But if I were to do it all over I'd get a Tyrus I/C and fab up some piping and save a ton of money.
