didn't he say in an earlier thread he only used those wheels/tires for track events?

autox course's are fairly flat, so it shouldnt be a problem, especially in the rear. the front would be another story though. i had to raise my car up yesterday b/c my victoracers were rubbing, doh! when i put my new fenders on, ill pull them out. they need it bad!!

grip, which equals speed. which in turn, equals teh win!1 :)

well, there's enough wheel travel to get the fender down to the line across the tire sidewall (probably a finger's worth of travel). The 7kg springs I have are pre-tensioned like crazy as well, untill I can get a hold of some stiffer springs. The victoracers liked the 9/7 setup.... but the Hoosiers want an 11/9 or higher springrate... with the Hoosiers on, my suspension with the pretensioned 9/7 springs feels great, so I'm pretty sure the "underdamped-ness" that I felt in the D2's before was just pure tire deflection.

Also, the 2nd shot is sort of deceptive.... the angle looks more severe because of the reflections.

yes, but Hoosiers break traction a lot faster than my old tires did.... and I overshot the same slaloms on my last 2 runs of 3.... losing the season championship by the cones I hit. If I had only hit 1 cone instead of 2 I could've won :(

yeah, it happens. my biggest weakness is inconsistency. sometimes i'll drive like a top 10 driver... other times i just won't be able to concentrate on a 30 second course.... it's probably just something that i've got to work on as I become a better driver and go through courses that much faster.

OMG, that is flooooosh!

I love the car... I love the tires... Oh well, maybe one day I'll be able to afford such a thing...

Now, I'm running a Civic and kickin' ass. :)

i love the pulled fenders PJ! im trying to do that very soon, did you use a torch or a heat gun to heat up the metal? ive got a really powerful heat gun, im prolly gonna have to use that.
btw sux that you lost by one cone, but youve got years of competition ahead of you. good luck!

To really have awesome consistency you gain it 1 of 2 ways.. You race go-karts as a child.. or you practice CONSTANTLY everywhere you go, all the time.

period. :2f2f:

yeah... but i think i've just been getting burnt out this year. i've had no problems before this season, which seems like i've never had the car in the same settings two events in a row. if only i still had my old S14....

You still did pretty good at CAC. ;)

I am hoping for next year...
