I have both a power fc L-jetro and an avcr for my s13 sr. I only have the avcr because I got it for a great price. Searched and searched and I keep getting vague info.

What I'm wondering is if I should try to use the avcr as a simple electronic boost controller in conjunction with the pfc or not. I've found people saying that there is an available boost solenoid for use with the L-jetro since the pfc supposedly has the avcr functions made into it, or something close. But all I'm finding are D-jetro map sensor version boost solenoids that have a plug that goes into the side of the pfc unit itself. My unit is at the shop, so I can't look at it right now, but I'm fairly sure it doesn't have a plug on the side iirc.

I'm not sure what you are asking.

But just some good info you might want is; there is a boost control kit for the PFC sold separately. It works really well, and it will be less wiring and clutter in the car.

You can buy one used if you get lucky.
Or buy new one from Frsport.com

Thanks for the info. I think I've found the right one on frsport now. I was asking if I should ditch the avcr in favor of the Pfc solenoid. Looks like I'm going to go that route.

avoid the power FC as a boost controller.

Use the AVCR directly as a boost controller stand alone. Initiate boost per speed and profit.

When you say 'boost per speed', are you talking about the gearing function?

you mean the function where it matches your road speed to the duty cycle of the wastegate. Then yes.
