I took my S14 for a drive came home parked later on i came out and saw a puddle of gear oil. Took a look under the car and I see a steady drop of oil coming from under the driver seat from the trans. What would cause this? Trans is old and abused btw

Sounds like you already know the cause.
Usually they will splash gear oil all over the place when the shifter hole becomes exposed. Take apart your shifter trim and seal it up.

Funny because I have short throw and it doesnt have the rubber donut that goes into the shifter hole but it spilled the oil while parked

I'm sure the oil was splashed everywhere while your car was moving, then it dripped on the driveway while it was at a stop. Put the rubber boot on your shifter. Also, clean oil and other debris and look for cracks or the source of the leak with the car running.

I had a similar issue. I fashioned a round seal that goes around the shifter handle, made from high temperature rubber hose (intended to support 800psi and several hundred * F).
