i just recently purchased this vehicle and last night while i was driving little hard after the pull car made a pretty loud back fire sound and stall i though i blew something first, then car did not crank no respond on starter at all. (not a single noise) then i tried to push start it and it worked. now car does not crank but you can push start it, how that loud back fire noise has anything to do with my starter? :picardfp:

Have you checked any of the connections at the starter? I'd start there...

Usually when something odd happens and the car doesn't start, you stop and check things out. Not bandaid it, aka push starting it. You could have jolted something loose and that's why the starter won't work, you could easily check that. The backfire could be just a coincidence or excessive fuel, you were driving not us. The just stalling part could mean a more serious issue.

it happen at night and i didn't had a clear vision plus i was middle in the street so while random people helping me push it to the side it was well worth it to give a shot. starter connector wasn't connected all the way i guessed it came loose at that moment
