Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum as I just bought my S13 on OCT 20th, not to sure where to post this but here's my problem; My brake lights do not work whatsoever, when I checked the fuse it was blown and when I replaced it with a new one it instantly blew, hadn't touch the brakes at all. I read a few people blew there fuses as they applied pressure to the brakes, this was not the case. I understand its a short or bad ground somewhere along the cable but I'm not sure where as I am very new to this vehicle. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Start at the tail light(s) and check the connectors, then the wiring.
What chassis do you have?

Its a 91 S13 SE. I have full interior so I'm hesitant on doing anything until i can sort of locate the problem as i would have to remove portions of it from what ive read so far

Here's an easy one then. Disconnect both tail lights at their housings. Pop in a new fuse. If nothing blows reconnect either side one at a time and see what happens.

You have a short. Do like kruked said then examine the wiring from the troubled light forward until you find the broken, touching, or weak wires. Had this happen in my hatch 3rd light recently
