My cousin is thinking about ordering a set of work meister s1's in
17x8 +15 front and 17x9 +20 on the rear. Will these wheels go on without no fender rolling/rubbing? and he is running 20mm wider frontfenders. Also he's thinking about getting a tire package so what would be a good size to get without getting too wide that it will rub.He wants the wheels to fit flush as possible without rolling the fenders and minamal/no rubbing
Im thinking something along the lines of 225 or 235.

thanks

9 +20 on the rear without rolling? No. The fronts would be fine though.

the front will be fine, u might be able to get away with a roll, negative camber, and stretched tire in the rear.

if he has 20mm wider fenders in front. then i would go with more offset than +15... my guess would be something more like +5 or maybe even 0 offset with a stretched tire and decent amount of camber. as for the rear... +20 on 9inch wide wheel will look weak... def go with +0 or maybe even more... and roll/pull the fender and the obvious stretch tire and neg. camber....

if were my car i would go with 17x9 +0 all around since u have the wider front fenders. then use like a 215/45/17 tire then set up whatever camber u wanna use then pull the fenders acordingly so that it fits like a glove... getting extended studs and dont forget the use of small 5mm spacers isnt bad... small spacers are good tool for clean fitment. just make sure u get extended studs so u have enough thread on the lug nuts.
good luck

So what offset is good for the rear without rolling the back out.

why wouldnt u want to roll the rear? its the only way to make it look clean and flush...

why doesn't he want to get the fender rolled? You know the difference between rolling and pulling fenders right? Rolling will give you more clearence, abou 10mm, but will look no different on the outside. You can get it done for around $30 a fender (give or take) and he only have 2 fenders to do!!!!

IF he ROLLS the rear fenders he could fit the 17x9 +20 with a 215/45 and about 2-3 degrees of negative camber.

IF he still doesn't want to roll the fenders (although there is no reason not too) then 17x9 +25 w/215/45 with 2-3 (maybe more) degrees of negative camber. It will probably be really close though.....

I see now tim, yeah He doesnt want it pulled then ...i was using rolled in terms of pulled. So yeah no pulling of the fenders are wanted.

even with the fenders just rolled u can fit more offset than +20 on a 9inch wheel.

with a roll in the rear he might be able to get away with +12 or +15

Yes, he could. More than likely, if the company makes a 17x9 +20 they're not gonna offer a +15 unless it's custom (of course I could be wrong) He could get spacers though but it's not necesary. ALSO, more camber would be needed to run a +15 than a +20. Maybe 2 degrees with the +20 and 3 degrees of negative camber with the +12-15. Somehting like that.

There are lot of people getting confused lately about pulling/rolling fenders.

17x9 +15 225/45 17x10 +12 235/45 20mm Front fenders, Slightly pulled rear fenders. 17x10 +25 will fit S13 rear with 235 tires on rolled fender.

on that touge factory coupe...are you guys running negative camber in the rear at all?

from this angle its a little hard to tell, but looks like very little camber

The rear camber is negative two degrees.

If the car didn't have the kit I think it would look kinda funny in the rear.

Since you went with wide fenders up front why didn't you go with the 17x10 +12 235/45 all around? That size looks awesome but I think it looks weird when only the rear has the sunken spokes and not the front.....

Just my opinion though :blah:

17x10 +12 will not clear coilovers in the front, will need to be around 0 offset, at this point car needs to run 4-5 deg of negative camber to get the wheels to fit. Also at full lock and full compression, the wheels are so wide that it'll rub. The white silvia is our wiring guru's(Eric) daily driver.

wtf, why would u want 17x10's up front?
thats like sying you want to drive around with 1,000hp all the time...
sweet specs, yet totally uneccessary

The ONLY reason I said that was b/c of the spoke design of the 17x10's. That way it would match. It almost looks like there not even the same model wheels....
17x10's in front is overkill...but then it's overkill in the rear as well. Especially since you have to run 235's to make them fit (although with a little more pull you could probably go with wider tires but whatever) I don't know. At this point I think it's all opinionated and more of a appearence issue anyway.

But I didn't know that they wouldn't clear the fronts...
