Issue resolved! For anyone having issues with the oil dummy light, thoroughly check the wiring to your oil pressure sensor right next yo your oil filter.
That thing is super twitchy, as the wiring is old, brittle and can throw you in a serious panic! If you don't have oil pressure gauge, it's good idea to replace that little sensor when diagnosing lubrication issues.
