Clean title
2nd owner(original owner bought the car in Kansas during college in 1988, then moved to San Mateo, CA)
195k miles(bought it with 12x,xxx miles)
5-speed
j30 differential
1-piece aluminum DS
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
A/C still blows ice cold
25mpg mixed(30mpg driving back and forth to LA twice last year)
Always Chevron Premium
Always Valvoline VR1 oil and K&N Oil Filter
Rust-free
New: alternator, battery, rear tires, oil&filter(literally changed it 2 days before the hose blew)
Bad: dash has one crack, needs new muffler, cracked windshield, moonroof sealed shut, needs new dash lights
182k miles: Oil pump(OEM), water pump, timing chain&guide, fuel filter, spark plugs&wires(NGK), brakes(Oreilly special)
145k miles: Rebuilt cylinder head
I'm throwing in the towel. One of the small coolant bypass hoses burst on my way to work(the ones that require you to take off the intake manifold) and I just don't feel like taking this goddamn ka24e apart again. And also my back doesn't need it and I don't have all the time.
I bought it back in 2008 intending to drop in an SR and all that shit...never did. I didn't even get around to the 5-speed swap until 3 years ago, and even then I have still driven it like the underpowered, slow bitch that it is. Honestly, I'd like to hang onto it and give it the build it deserves, but I don't have the space or the time to get it done.
It's got some dings and a decent dent on the driver's fender. Interior is not too bad for a 200k mile car(rips in front seats, carpet torn). Windshield has been cracked for 3 years(never got a fix-it ticket so why fix it?). The fucking thing purrs though, gets great gas mileage, fires up immediately, and has been babied since I bought it. Wired for an audio system(0 gauge wire to trunk, 14ga for speakers) but my amps went out.
The price is $3000 obo. No trades- just bought a new Accord. I should probably be asking more so if I don't get my asking price soon I'll likely fix the car and post it for $4000. Within the last year while I was still daily driving it I had 3 people knock on my door interest and told them all $5000(because it wasn't for sale), and I had one guy saying he'd come back later that day with $3500 and I turned him down. I know what I have but I like quick cash and I wouldn't mind seeing it go to an enthusiast. Having said that I won't sell to someone who will likely destroy it.
PM me or post here with any questions. Thanks!
