Hey, so about a mnth ago i installed an obx header, i took off this little bracket/bushing that held the cat up and just tossed it to the side as it was really annoying to install back on. a month went by and everything was great until i hear a rattle and find its an exhaust leak, only from the bottom of the front cat gasket. so i just decdided to buy a whole new one, and now both sides (only on the bottom) leak, then realizing i screwed myself by taking off that bracket (when i jacked up the cat, voila the gaskets met perfect) so while i fish around for a new bracket (threw away the old one i geuss) would double gasketing be a quick fix to this? i was even thining of some how supporting the cat up but nothing seems to work out. let me know if you have any experience with this, thanks

Use some citrus spray. Should keep the cat from leaking where it shouldn't.

What is citrus spray? I'd personally recommend high-temp forma-gasket, or copper gasket sealant. It doesn't get 600*F down there.

Use some citrus spray.
I heard vinegar works better.

p.s. would double gasketing be worth a try too?

That bracket has no bearing on the problem you're having. The POS header you bought does. Double gasket it and learn to buy better quality products next time.

i dunno it seems like theres no support for the cat so its hanging down and not getting a good enough seal, but yea the header is a pos.

You have to grind out the tranny mount because the OBX pipe is bigger than the factory DP.
