SR20DET Valve Cover part

I went for a drive earlier today to test a few things out on my setup and noticed the little nipple on the intake side of my valve cover had fallen out somehow.

Does anyone know the size/thread so I can find a replacement?

Going to setup a catch can this upcoming week, so thanks in advance!

It's not a nipple, it's a PCV. You should be able to pick one up for a Sentra SE-R at your auto parts store.

and perhaps the most commonly overlooked part that is absolutely essential to properly functioning pcv on a turbo engine. Failure of that check-valve (aka pcv valve) results with symptoms of a blown engine! And indeed, may contribute to oil seal failure within the engine!

Op engine need help badly, the pcv is connected to a hose on the intake manifold and is threaded in, if it had "fallen out"? My first thought is to test it then thread it back in. If it manage to loose the hose as well, then it has a huge boost leak, and a smart person would have notice that, and probably check it sooner.

If it was capped off then op still needs help!

No worries, was just checking a new gauge was working, drive 1st gear in a circle around my cul de sac, not hitting boost or anything. Had to move the car regardless to get it out of my garage.

It was originally setup, I honestly don't know how it fell out. Either way Im grabbing a new one and the catch can gets here. Thanks as usual tal0n.

That pcv should not be routed to your catch can either way, it goes to the intake manifold.

This is for vacuum situation. Try to imagine what happens during boost, this is the key to understanding pcv function. If you want, I can make a new picture showing boost (but would prefer you figure it out to learn more)

No need, thanks for all the help as usual man. Probably the biggest help since Ive gotten the car running.

Already got everything hooked up today. Had to go get another fitting on the intake manifold as there was only a fitting for either brake booster/pcv valve. Everything is setup and done, again I appreciate the help as usual tal0n.
