RB harness help

A few weeks ago I bought an RB20 that came out of a friends R32. The motor ran flawlessly in his car and is stupid clean, but the previous Japanese owner decided it would be fun to screw with the harness :ugh: The harness is in great shape overall other than a connector that was added in and extends off into space...

After tearing off a ton of electrical tape I followed all 6 wires from the mystery connector back to the white/black wire of each injector. Does that mean someone made some kind of grounding kit for the injectors? Should I just be able to tie them all back into the original harness and call it good?

The connector sitting on the desk is the extra one.

And this shows extra wires connecting to the white/black of each injector :down:
