Hey guys, Ive been out of the 240 game for about four years. Life sorta just moved in a different direction.
Now it's time to move on from my S14. Some of you may have seen it before in Norcal (Sac/Bay Area).
Unfortunately it has been changed to non-op status. I tried twice to get it smogged, failed both times. Driven Authority thought they had it, but it failed emissions, and I just couldn't fuck with it anymore. Its been sitting in my garage for the last couple years now.
It will cost me more to rebuild the engine and turn it into a track car or get it running easily than its worth to me, since I now daily a different car.
Has anyone sold a non-op car in California before? Any thing I should know?
I've dumped a shitload of money into it - JDM aero, ground control/koni custom coilovers, multilink everything, s15 diff, rapfix QR, nismo LMGT4 (from dousan!), i don't expect to make much more than a few grand back.
Obviously any seller would need to look at it in person and bring a flatbed to take it with them, but any other thoughts appreciated. Thanks guys.
