Ok so my timing is as fare advanced as possible, and it runs ok but very lean, and if I retard it the car hase a bad studer off the line, I replaced the fuel filter, plugs, fuel pressure regulater, and it still runs really lean and if I back the timing it still stuters. The top end was rebuilt a year ago befor I ownd it and the car has 240,000 miles on it. Some one pleas help!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking you're able to advance the dist' to the max because you're off a tooth or two.

did you remove the distrubutor before? weird.
anyway blah blah blah happened to me before blah blah.
take out the distributor and reinstall it a tooth back or a tooth foward; time it again. keep experimenting until you get it running properly.

Is the rubber intake hose ripped? any other vacuum leaks? clean your MAF. change your 02 sensor. check for good fuel pressure
