Hey guys,

I will be putting a tablet into my car in the near future. I got rid of my deck a while back and just have a 3.5mm wire hardwired to my crossover. Everything works perfectly. I want to come off that line before the crossover and add in a potentiometer for volume control. I understand that I need a double gang one for controlling left and right, but I don't know how to figure out what resistance size of a potentiometer I need.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

You are making it way more difficult than needed.... you just need one of these:

I've seen those before. I just wasn't sure if the knob could be changed out to other styles. Do you know?

You can modify and glue on whatever you want I suppose... whatever your imagination and skills limit you to!

This sounds like a good idea, any pics of install?

I use that knob all of the time on tablet installs. Here's the latest one I did for a 350z:

Well, cant compete with that...

But here it is, you can see the knob in the second picture.

Broadfield, do you run a ground loop isolator?

I am and i'm still having trouble with the humming sound.
