Yeah so I am doing my 5 spd swap at the moment I have every thing in. Bleed clutch, and it starts(in neutral). I can shift into gears when car is off, but when i start the car and press on the clutch, I can't move it into gear. When i try to put it into 5th it feels like it wants to engage. I took off the boot around the fork and can see that the presure plate is moving when I step on the clutch, it seems to be ok, but yet it is not releasing the clutch. I was talking to some one and they said if my clutch lines was off for awhile it maybe clogged, but the fork wouldn't be moving if the lines are pluged would it? Is there not enough presure to release the clutch? Would the wiring have anything to do with it? The only things I have hooked up is the speed sensor and the neutral/park wires. Can you guys think of anything else that can go wrong, or do I have to drop the tranny and see what's up?

You might have installed your clutch disc in backwards.. Try putting it in gear with out stepping on the clutch..see if it goes in smoothly.. if it does, then yeah.. turn the clutch plate around. :-/

nope it's in right. even the sticker says so... even doubled check before alining the tranny back in. can't put it in gear with or without the clutch when started, but I can when the car is not started. Puting it in to 1st gear when it is off then starting it seems to be an mistake...

I just ran into this problem a week or so ago. I thought we bleeded the clutchline well, but after another quart or so of fluid I was able to get into gear upon start-up.

Also, check your pedal height(193-203mm) and M.C.freeplay(3mm)
