I already did the search option for many minutes. Alot of info is either half done or opinions of what will or wont work. Im looking for someone who could possibly leave their contact info to answer a few questions about whats a wastse of change(maf, throttle body etc) on a high compression ka24de. I already have one up and running great with no issues. Heres mod list- ka24e piston with custom valve cuts, decked block, cometic gasket, decked head, 280 crower cams, crower springs,4-1 long header, straight through spiral exhaust muffler, jwt tuned ecu,114 sunoco fuel, stock injectors, stock maf. No dyno time
I know alot say dont waste time with na build, but its for a specific class. Anyone experienced or know of someone please tell. Thanks

On an NA build you're really dedicating yourself to laborious tasks for minimal gains. And good port and polish on the head with cams properly degreed, maybe bigger valves. But we're talking mad money for a couple horses. lightening the car is probably the easiest way to go faster. A good dyno tune and seat time.
I mean if you wanted to be a scum bag you could try and run a cheater nitrous set up into the bottom of the intake manifold where the PCV attaches.

You're probably going to still be under 190whp with those mods maybe 210whp max. KA motors aren't rev happy either. I recommend ITB's in the future but for the amount of money you'll be spending for that, the gains wouldn't be worth it, but i'm not here point you in the direction of me pointing the negatives. They are torquey motors so even with 190 or so whp in a light chassis it should def be more then fun. I would say short gears with a 4.3 or 4.6 fd will make it really fun. When I had my sr20ve powered b14 making 201whp with bolt ons & a tune in a high 2400lbs chassis I could tell you that with the stock 4.4 or 4.1 fd I was surprising bolt on sti's & lgihtly modded evos only downfall was it was fwd. I say go for it

This "S14" was built by Rebello and ran in the mid to late 90's (im just regurgitating some info I found with a little looking). Ran a single cam and made 283 @ 7200, and 231 lb-ft @ 5200.

Didn't find info on the carb setup he was running at the time of that photo, but he was running a 4 into 1 exhaust manifold.
I realize this is a single cam, but its so closely related I figured I'd shove this information in, and if it doesn't help you at all, no biggy. I know they ran these style of tube frame cars in SCCA GT3 lightweights in the early 2000's, and they were under harsh restrictions, so ka's were pushed to the max, interesting stuff they did.

And for several thousand dollars less you can have a 500rwhp 2jz-gte or a 260rwhp sr20det both which will achieve 25-31mpg if tuned right, and be quite happy daily driving in 98*F Florida mid-day sun with the A/C on while you chase that new mustang that just drove by.

He's trying to meet the requirements of a specific race class. They may frown upon his boosted 2jz blasting his a/c while talking shit on mustangs...while he's trying to pass his tech inspection. ;)

Lol. Op I hope those pointless thousands of dollars are worth it. That zenki would be so much more fun with a sr or a jz

I dunno, something about the whole idea seems super interesting to me. I'm a big fan of pushing the limit to see what's possible, great things can happen that way (it can also blow up in your face, literally). We could all learn a trick or two from thoughts like these. Keep in mind at one point, no one was screwing with these kinds of cars until sometime wanted to go off that beaten path, regardless of what people would say. I guess in my rambling I'm trying to say to each his own.
Go for it. It'll be awesome.
