First of all, dont tell me to search! I did and every single post regarding a greddy boost controller settings didnt get any responses...

So Im gonna have to ask again for those who didnt get their questions answered.

I just installed a greddy profec B II boost controller today. But its making the car act funny.
whenever the boost controller is set on off, It will drive normal between shifts...

But when I set it on Low setting, when i shift gears, It will pull hard for a fraction of a second and then after that it will pull not as hard. I also heard the wastegate opens for a fraction of a second between shifts.

Same thing when I set it on High but its worse.

I hooked all of the vacuum lines according to the instruction.. so Im thinking that this might be the settings.

Do one of you have this type of boost controller + external wastegate? If so, How do you set it? like gain, set gain, and wastegate percentage and all that...

Thanks a lot

what are the settings you're running right now? duty cycle, set boost, etc

Right now..

Off - .25 bar (I have a .25 bar spring on my wastegate)

Low
gain - 12%
Set gain - .3 kpa
WG% - 26%

Full boost = .45 bar (kpa)

High
gain - 10%
Set gain - .4 kpa
WG% - 36%

Full boost = .65 bar (kpa)

whats your max boost achieved in low boost mode according to the profec?

i had a similar problem; my wg setting % was not open high enough vs the set boost number
my set boost was like .4 bar and my wg setting was 25% or so, it'd open up and the car would move pretty good, then the car fell flat on its face because the boost dropped off

to test, lower your star boost some, and raise your duty cycle up and see where it goes

at low boost.. I get max boost .45 bar according to profec B

whats your boost gauge say? if you're pulling well as the boost is coming on and then it just nosedives, its the profec basically having a duty cycle effectively set LOWER than the set boost...

what happens is it doesnt open the wastegate at all until the set boost is reached, then it applies the wg duty cycle %... if the effective % is lower, it will immediately bleed off boost like a mofo

lower your set boost to like .2bar or something, something really low, it may boost slow but see if the power still falls off
