Ok so I was looking over the forums and I found one where this guys tranny took a dump on him, now he's running a 6 puck sprung race disk. I am running a ACT 6 puck unsprung race disk with heavy duty pressure plate. Should I be weary of how I shift? This is a pretty radical clutch I like it alot but I don't wan't to see my tranny explode its a 97 sr tranny. Am I in any danger or do I just worry to much?

well, it depends. Do youl like doing hard launches and clutch kicks? That clutch IS a lot harsher on trannies than sprung hub clutches. BTW, if you don't have 300lbs of torque at the wheels, you didn't need that clutch.

Yeah I just wanted something bullet proof, but I am more of a Drift/track guy than a drag strip person, I will probably do clutch kicks on it when I get it to the racetrack and really start drifting it. But I shift fast and love to chirp 2nd and 3rd when I feel like it. Am I ok?

chirp 2nd and 3rd as in powershift? thats not good for your transmission/engine mounts/ lots of things. it'll take quite a while for it to take its toll though

I watched my friend blow his tranny in his integra with that same clutch. the unsprung is what makes it harsh on the tranny.
