exhaust doesnt fit

hks hyper exhaust doesnt fit right... kinda off to the right.. too close to the bumper.. and it burned somma my bumper..( not like i really care that much)... im just woundering if anybody else is getting the same thing from the HKS Hyper exhaust

The 5Zigen Rocket on my S13 tended to want to rub (and melt) the bumper, until I 'adjusted' the hangers with a 3lb rubber mallet. :D

my apexi GTspec hung a little too low when i bought it so i used the trusty mallet to recurve the mounting tabs as well

adjusting the metal hangers is all you really need to do to change the angle of exit. if u want it to exit lower...you can go buy a longer rubber hanger. The ones we have stock on the 240SX are rather short, since the stock exhaust doesn't require a lower stance. On the other hand, check out your local parts store,etc. they have rubber hangers for trucks and jeeps (which are longer). you can try those along with metal hanger adjustment on the muffler...

thanks for the advice guys... i liked the mallet idea :rawk: .... but looks like imma need a combo of both longer hangers and the mallet... thanks agian! :D
