power antenna from s14: fit s13?

i need to fix my power antenna on my 93 coupe. it makes buzzing sounds but nothing moves. does an s14 power antenna fit an s13?

the plastic cord in your power antenna mast is broken. The buzzing sound you hear is the motor working, but spinning on the broken teeth of the antenna mast.
Go to your nearest local Nissan dealer and order the power antenna mast, (part #28215-9B000 - list price as of November 2001 was $44.00 - this part # MAY or MAY NOT work with your power antenna assembly though...this is the part # for a 95 power antenna assembly. Either way the Nissan parts counter guy will know which is which & will order you the right one.

Anyhow, once your antenna mast comes in, remove the power antenna assembly from your car, crack open the case, pull out the busted antenna mast & replace it with the new replacement mast. Make sure to clean out any old grease that is in the housing & repack it with new grease, (preferably with wheel bearing grease..it holds up better than most others), prior to sealing the housing up. Reassemble everything back up & you should be back in business.

If the cord isn't broken you don't need to open the case, just feed it out, then feed the new one in. Otherwise the above instructions are right on. It may sound involved but it's simple, I used to do 10-12 a week at an audio place I worked at.

The Altima antenna fits the S14 with the correct bracket, but IIRC the 95-up antennas use a different plug. You might could use a same year Maxima unit. Refresh my memory, how many plugs are on the antenna and what size are they?

i found the antenna mast on ebay for 18.95 + 5 shipping.
or
the whole antenna power assembly for 29.95 + 12 shipping.

now im debating whether or not to get the whole assembly so i dont have to deal with all that grease
