anybody here goin to nopi nationals?

i wa thinkin of driving down from canada to go to the nopi nats in sept, but in wondering if anbody from this forum will be goin to this event or is nopi not worht goin to ?.

Unless your really into car shows with honda's as the majority of cars entered (Nopi has 4-5 classes for each honda model and genereation, eww) and want to collect some aftermarket manuf. catalogs then Nopi Nationals is not worth it. The drift event last year was awsome but the area they did it was a little too small in my taste and too simple. They had concrete barriors at the corners so one mishap would mean alot and maybe deep "battle scars". But for you to drive down from Canada? I would just stick to what ever drift events you have up there. Heh, unless your still set on it I might be still be able to get to Atlanta Motor Speedway throught the backroads unless you want to be stuck in bumber-bumber traffic and still going through the stop lights.

Anyone else interested on going to the backroads PM me. 2TN'D racing and myself would just like to see the drift events out in the parking lot. Its free to watch and so is parking, I just don't like to waste my money going in like I have for the past 3 years. Trust me you might be driving a little more then the main road, but when everyone leaves, atleast you wont still be at the light down the road for 3 hours.

You would be very wise not to attend NOPI.

Unless you enjoy seeing 25,000 flourescent colored 4 door sedans with chrome wheels driven by 18 year old thugs blaring ghetto music while their fat, white trash girlfriends walk around in revealing clothing.

It's unfortunate that I live in Atlanta and must witness the influx of pissant, wannabe gangster, redneck morons who flock to this event. Even 80 miles away there's a buzz of exhaust and flashes of neon lighting periodicaly. I usually spend the weekend even farther away in the mountains, hoping a large bomb might land on Atlanta Motor Speedway. One day maybe.

wow so i guess this is really not a good place to be, but i have already booked a hotel and got a buddy goin with me, so i guess ill try my luck and see how that weekend goes down. thanks for the input, ill make sure this is the only nopi tour show i go to then, thanks
