So overseas a good upgrade for a RB20 even untuned is the RB25 turbo. People seem to run this all the time with no issues and i've come to a turbo that I can buy on the ultra-cheap that is in good condition and would work for this.
Only problem is where I am we have 91 octane (95 overseas) and everyone doing this obviously lives in areas where you can get real premium. Anyone here run anything like this on such shit fuel or would this make it a no go?

you'll be limited pretty quickly by stock injectors anyway if you want to turn the boost up
I have a rb20det with a 45v4 rb25m turbo, 444ccinjectorf from a gtr, a gtr fuel pump 3" exhaust, stock maf...
got it tuned at 275whp @ 13psi on 91pump gas
worth it, now the engine still have power at the redline.

well when i do get nistune i have a fuel pump already just would need injectors at that point. However you are tuned where I would be untuned until then.
still curious if I will be fine untuned

untuned stock boost will probably be ok
keep an eye on your wideband..
btw keep your wastegate actuator from your rb20

Ya i've been told that it controls boost better.
Ok, i'll try it out.
