Alright here's the situation. I bought a t25 off of ebay and the guy said it had no shaft play or anything with only 50k miles and when it came today i took it out and tested the turbine to see if it would spin freely. Guess what HELL NO!!!!! that thing was stuck! i can't even turn it. my bud's say that the turbo is blown is that true? what are my options as far as rebuild/Getting my money back from the Freakin guy who ripped me off. Can i still get my molas back? It is False advertisment isn't it? he said as-is no warranty but what the hell he also said no shaft play wtf? help me guys!!

this is common among the t-25's. they aren't as easy to turn (however mine turns without too much pressure - still nothing like ball bearing turbo's though)
i believe the t25's use journal bearings, so put some oil in the turbo and take a drill and spin the turbine.
i can't remember which way it should spin though , i think counterclockwise? someone correct me here.

thats ebay for ya. sorry man. as is no warranty and he never said that it wasnt froze up just said no shaft play sounds like he got ya. dont buy turbos or the really important stuff for your car off ebay cuz this is what happens i have seen it many times. my friend has bought two blown turbos off ebay that were supposed to be brand new. you could contact him and see if he'll take it back and return you your money or you can try to file some sort of ebay fraud complaint. if you used paypal i think you should have been able to buy a money back garentee for a few bucks..that might have helped. good luck.

Whoever tells you "no shaft play" is full of sh*t.
All fluid bearing turbos MUST have a slight amount of shaft play. If not, there is a problem since there must be clearance. This clearance allows for the oil to circulate around the shaft causing the shaft to float. Otherwise, you have metal-metal contact between the shaft and bearing.
And regardless if it's a BB or fluid bearing turbo, it should spin freely. No effort should be needed to spin the blades by hand.

If it seems to be stuck, please do not keep trying to force it to spin. Also, do not attempt to spin the turbo without feeding/dropping some oil inside of the turbo. Both are a great way to make a bad situation worse.
You dont seem like the most savy turbo guy...get a friend with some know-how to help you before something really bad (see: expensive) goes wrong.
