I just installed a new harness on my Redtop because I had a problem with the old one not sending a signal to my first coilpack. I got it running but it sputters alot and it tends to not idle very well. Once it gets warmed up a little it shuts off. I think there is just exess fuel in cylinder 1 yet. Is there anything I can do about this?

check injector wiring and mafs wiring, make sure the wires are going all the way through the plug
check fuel pressure regulator
where did u get the "new" wiring harness from? did it to this b4 with the old harness?

ok I'll check them. I'm also going to buy a timing gun to check my timing as well. No, it didn't do any of this before my harness went bad, it ran exellent until my 1st cylinder stopped firing because of my harness.

And I bought the new harness of ebay from an import parts dealer in Japan. And I know what alot of people will say about that. But I inspected it a bit before putting it in and it looks intact and a perfect S13 harness.

I got it now. I went to check all the wiring and I noticed that the pipe coming out of my turbo to the smic was loose. So I pushed it down and it started working right.

Well the sputtering stopped but it still shuts off after about 30 seconds or so. And it seems a bit louder than before I had all my problems in the exhaust area. Anybody have an idea what would make it louder and shut off all the time.
