Hey guy I drive a 91 240sx I am curently doing a manual swap on. I was taking some parts off a spare tranny and putting them on to the one I'm about to put in the car. Now the plate for the shifter had a gasket under it, well when I tried pulling it off it was stuck it ripped!! Shitty but oh well..... can I just use some rtv or should I just get a new one?? Oh and also does anyone have any ideas of how I can reseal my oil pan with out pulling the motor or completely dropping the subframe....???? anything can help thank you in advance!

RTV will work fine. That what I've seen everyone use. The shifter isn't easy to get the RTV onto with the engine in the car either. That will be as tough as resealing the oil pan. The trick with the oil pan, is to loosen all of the mounts, undo the sway bar, remove the rad/get it out of the way and lift the engine up a little bit. You don't need much. Once you unbolt the pan, it rotates and should slide out forward.
