this!!! ^^^^

will the bellhousing adapter actually keep the shifter in OEM position? not all of us want racecar interior, id love the option of upgrading to a VQ tranny while keeping my stock interior stock.

Well this is just fabulous! Having a product like this finally on the market will provide for a sturdy structure/attachment direct fit solutionto swap in this transmission. I presently run z33 tranny on sr with welded bellhousing its a match made in heaven. Should definetly have a mazworx cnc shifter bracket developed in line with this.

Collins makes an adapter plate for RBs. JWT makes an adapter plate to use an auto RB bell housing on the z33 trans.

Either way, a cast bell housing like this would be the better and probably optimal solution anyways.

...So, I agree, RB needs to be put on the todo list for Mazworx.

I'm pretty sure you can't get to stock shifter position with just a bell housing, the input shaft is what determines the location of transmission relative to the engine (chassis).

Why are the rest of you talking about RB-VG adapters? The idea is to upgrade here.

I'll post an update tomorrow. =)

SOO eager for this thing to come out! I have everything to swap my z33 trans, but I just couldn't get over using an adapter plate. Would much prefer a correct bell housing swap.

Important question though, will this bellhousing work with the z33 HR transmissions?
I've got an '08 HR trans with 10k miles on it and had to modify my Maverick adapter plate to bolt to it, but since your product would replace the whole bellhousing, I can't see it not working?
Unless something like the main shaft bearing is different, but I have no idea.
If this could bolt up to the HR trans which would get rid of the CRAP concentric slave cylinder, I'd place my payment right now if I could.

Will this be compatible with SR clutch & flywheel combos?

Will the input shaft cover have clearance for twin or triple plate clutches that consume more length of the input shaft? For example, OS Giken recommends shaving some length of the stock S13/S14 5-speed input shaft cover due to the longer length of the multiplate plate clutch and different throw out bearing. TIA

TheRealSy90
05-27-2015, 12:31 PM
I would assume that it's going to work with the normal sr20 clutch/flywheel since they have the same splines as z33 clutch. And it should work with a twin disc but idk about anything more than that?

It will clear the twin plate. The triple may need to be checked.

It would be nice to have this product at all- You can't rush perfection and this company is one of the few companies actually manufacturing parts. Give them time. In other news, GK Tech is releasing a shifter that sits perfectly in the tunnel. No trimming necessary.

Yeah i've been waiting for updates with that too. Basically I want the mazworx bellhousing and the gktech shifter. So my car sits with no transmission in it... Only thing is it does not have the reverse gear lockout like the normal z33 shifter, but hopefully that's not a problem when shifting from fifth to sixth.

I'm assuming that it won't matter if we use VQHR trans or VQDE trans HR has innternal slave cylinder and DE has external slave cylinder. I wonder if you swap over fork and throw out bearing from SR trans bell housing.

TheRealSy90
11-13-2015, 11:46 PM
Internal or external slave doesn't matter, it just has to be a CD009 from what I was told. So that should mean the revup JK40C as well from the HR or 370's.

I got my kit in yesterday. Bellhousing looks awesome. Already looking at a different option for the shifter. Come to find out you DO have to cut the shifter hole. It comes with either a B&M or CircuitSports Z33 short shifter, can't tell which it is. I was surprised and disappointed at this, and that they did not design a bespoke shifter for their kit. I'm looking at InsaneDrifters shifter kit now. Fits in stock position.
