/sigh. I gotta make this quick, since it's 4am.
Last month-ish. Swapped 12" PC fan for 2x10" FAL fans. Broke plastic radiator endtank, and waited around until Koyo S14 KA radiators came out.
Last month-ish. Radiator came in. Go to add fans, and the damn zip-tie things were too short, as I trimmed down for my stock radiator. I did leave like 1.25" or so, but the Koyo is a fat-ass radiator.
Last month-ish. I installed fans, but the rubber gasket thing on the fans made the lower hose not connect snugly. Blow-off, Jeff sad.
July 1 - Move. Upstairs. Enough said. My gf has a ton of shit, and it's all heavy.
July 1 - When we signed the lease, we saw the small and large apartments, and never saw our exact model. Expecting one thing, we got shafted. Hard. There's not 1 drawer in the house. Not in the kitchen. Not in the bathroom. We have 1 cabinet, 2 half-cabs, and an under-sink thing. Fuck this apartment.
July 2 - Even though we saved $240/month on rent, we've practically spent all the year's savings making this place liveable. Shelves, wire racks to hold silverware, new computer desk, ect.
July 5th-ish - FAL fan relay cooked itself. When the temp probe touched the radiator.. *SPARK!!*.
Later that day - After reading like 3 install directions, and wiring the fans all sorts of ways, nothing worked. Finally, I got pissed and wired a switch 6" from the battery. Fuck it - it worked.
July 26th - The fuse I pulled power from for the fan switch melted, and crinkled itself out of the sockets. So $100 and a whole day later, Mattback and I found only 2 ignition-switched wires in the entire engine bay. 2 Ford truck horn relays and a mess of wires, the fucking fans work again. If they stop for any reason, I'm going ballistic. Getting pissed just thinking aobut that mess.
Now.. a month ago my girlfriend's car died. She goes to work Monday at 8am, comes back Friday at 8am.. works as EMT at a summer camp. So I have been up 2x a week at 7am bieng taxi-bitch. This week I fixed her car too.. damn z31 maf issue, and got to sleep in.
All this while working on a 300 page web-catalog for work, getting into classes, still trying to find spots for all my gf's shit, the apartment looks like I just moved in, and I've been here for over a month. GF's computer died. I'm on a salad diet to lose 10 pounds to get back to 165 and 6% body fat, supposed to quit smoking before school starts. Fed up with life.
On a humorous note - at 67 or something, my grandfather flipped the Fiero (old school members remember/have seen it) off a mountain in North Carolina in rainy weather. No damage to my grandfather, but that's the 3rd Fiero totalled with him driving. Gold, red, and silver. He did upgrade to the Fiero GT the following day, though.
... Can't remember much else. I'll be popping in and out of here now and then, and lend insight as much as I can until my life stops bieng hectic.

Well shit man... I hope things get better for ya. And whats with your grandfather killing Fieros? Its a sign, he just shouldn't be driving them.

You forgot to mention that the fan thing was the reason for wanting to sell your car ;)

sorry to hear about the troubles, man. hope things get better.

and use altima fans next time, and wire em to the stock fan harness, and rewire the relays together (or to another thermostat besides the stock one). dual fused, dual relayed, pretty much prewired plus they're dual speed so you can have all sorts of fun figuring out how you like your fans. and with your relays in the engine bay (unlike mine) it should be easy. i'd do it for you but that's a long ass drive :p

No. Hard life makes bitter people.
And yea, I wanted to sell my car due to fan issues. Next up is an idle issue, or I'm really selling it. I'm so sick of "fixing" the same problem 3 or 4 times, only to have it spring back in a week.

But as much as you might have heard it, things will turn around. I've been dealing with some shit for the past 3 or 4 months (pissed at the current roomies, shit at work, driving a crappy 89 Integra, etc.). But between this week and next, things are starting to turn around for me :D (Plus saving money getting over 30mpg even when running richer than I thought possible, Honda's good form something  )

Whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

and..........

Patience is a virtue.

Too much panzy shmanzy stuff. Go out and destroy stuff, it'll put a smile on your face. Must suck to have your girl gone for a week if you're craving the pootang on a Wednesday. :boink:
