How to get a Title?

I was looking in to buying this s14 that in pretty good condtion except it need an radiator, tailpipe, and headlights. A really good deal, only problem is, the car dosent have a title.

Does anyone know or have any idea of how to get one? thanks.

if the seller doesn't have the title to the car then he should be the one to get it before signing it over to you. the title basically is proof of ownership of the car. if you don't have the title, you can't do important shit like registration, insurance, etc...

you need a bill of sale from him... you can use that to apply for the title.. but you shud really try to get him to get the title first.. that way you know that it isnt stolen.

exactly... it could've been stolen or it could still have lien on it; theres alot of bs that you really should not have to put up with.

get the vin # and run it through the DMV in your city. if it's clear.. just get a bill of sale from him and it should be enough. In CA it is..
