Hello Zilva,
I'm looking for some help with my Redtop SR20DET
All of the sudden starting yesterday, my car began to turn off involuntarily. It isn't bogging out before it shuts off, it's running fine and then it just dies. I can wait about 2-3 minutes to turn it over and it'll start. Drive for another 10-30 minutes and shut off again and I have to repeat the process. The first time (scenario 1) it happened it was during the engine warming up so I paid it no mind. Ran errands throughout the day and had no issues until I started driving on the FWY (scenario 2-3). After I managed to start it up again I drove home and it stopped once more (scenario 4).
Scenarios...
1. Waiting for the car to warm up about 30-45 seconds in
2. Driving on the fwy at about 60-70 MPH, 3-4K RPM
3. Driving on the street at about 30-40MPH, 2.5-3.5K RPM
4. Driving on the street stopped @ a stop light
I've had this issue before and it ended up being the CAS. It has been replaced. Could it be going bad again?
Current issues.
Hard pulls or WOT causes the car to misfire. I was told that it may have something to do with the circulation for IACV. Buddy of mine sprayed brake parts cleaner into the hose that comes from the cold pipe into the IACV. That helped with pulls. < this was done BEFORE i began having the issue I have today. to remedy this issue I was told to purchase an oil catch can to help with this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.:hsdance:
