I have a j30 diff in my s13 currently and I am using a non-abs driveshaft. I have so far busted 2 rear main trans seals and I am certain it is due to the extra length of the abs sensor of the diff.

I've done some research and it seems like most people run the j30 diff with non abs drive shafts with no issues. So what am i doing wrong?

My driveshaft is extra long. When I had it made they made it a 1/4" longer thinking they were doing me a favor, they didn't. It barely fits, but it does... I've never had a problem with seals going out.

Mine barely fits also, mine is about a half inch too long, an abs driveshaft is .55inch shorter. What I dont understand is how people run non abs driveshafts with their abs diffs without issues.

I've been running a j30 diff in my s14 with an ABS driveshaft without any issues for about a year now. Do you have a one piece?

this is what i mean lol, seems i'm the only one with issues. No, I have a non-abs oem two piece ds.
My first seal did not leak until I did the diff swap. Bought a new oem nissan seal, punched it in and it was fine for a week. Then it started leaking again.
