I have an sr20det. Quick question, how much slack is the serpentine belt supposed to have? (alternator/waterpump/crank belt)

Mine has about 1/3 inch of slack in it and i've already adjusted my tensioner to max. Thanks

If you max out the tensioner and still have slack, it's time for a new belt.

the belt is brand new..
