Well, I installed XP Pro today... and I'll be damned if I'm ever going to TOUCH another operating system install again. So much repetition and checking and now this. I tried to wipe the slate, kill off everything else... and it didn't. What the hell? Now I only have 4.3GB of useable space, the hard drive has 27GB of just fluff. How do I get rid of that stuff? Hey, Microsoft... I WANTED THAT STUFF GONE! WHY DIDN'T YOU KILL IT? Damn, I'm pissed... Someone tell me how to get rid of that entire block of unuseable data please. (I really hope I don't have to reformat... the install said it already had, and had deleted everything.)

um I reformat every month or so, u wanna know how. I put the cd in drive, boot from cd, it goes through some garbage, asks me what I wanna do, I have 2 HD what do you have 1, so it should be easier. click that partition, do a ntsc or wahta not , dont do the fat32 format. thier should be a quick or normal, I do quick, seems to be the same as normal, I know there is diffrence but none that hsould eat your hd space. and go through all the set up. I know this is not step by step but i forget the exact step by step stuff cause its pretty much self explanitory, but im guessing when your picking your partitions, your messing something up or something is messed up already. maybe u need a larger maf or something?

I didn't know my Mass Air Flow sensor had anything to do with my computer. Should I go Z32?
I did have way too much trouble... but then again, I can't seem to get anything to work right on this damn computer. My sound doesn't work now.

with the bandwith your runnin id go rb. but what sound card do you have, is it onboard sound, I built my computer so i have disks with all the drivers and stuff, and when i dont have sound I load drivers for my soundcard or if it is onboard sound I load the drivers from my motherboard. did you go to your sound settings, what are the specs of ur computer.

geez.....27 GB??? that is ALOT for an OS to take up. I suggest you make a boot disk(s) from the CD...and format the HD from there. You also should update your drivers if your sound does not work....just go to your hardware manager and see if it needs drivers.

just go with Win2k Pro. Mine's been stable for... ~2 years now (not constantly running, but not turned off very often).
