Hi my name is Christian and i just finally bought an S14 after wanting one for so long and i love it :2f2f: now the car has a full s15 6 speed swap in it with ac/pw evrything is stock I would love to here the experts opinion on the swap and things i should look out for because i have notice people are not the biggest fan of the 6 speed tranny and thats ok i can always get a 5 speed if something goes wrong, but what should i be concern about engine wise besides parts been lil harder to find? Thanks evryone in advance
By the way hope im posting on the right place I look, but couldn't find an introduce your self forum :coolugh:

Welcome the forum! Congrats on the swap, its a ton of fun. Be smart with it hahah that's all I can say.
You'll find some great info on the site, awesome marketplace and the typical forum bullshit with a twist haha
In regards to the 6 speed, its really about your goal with the car. If you're going with higher horsepower things are bound to eventually wear our faster. My advice is take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt. Some guys shit talk the 6 speed saying "its weak" but others have had success with it in upwards of high 400 hp from what I have read.

Thanks for the warm welcoming :coolugh: and the truth im not planing to go up my hp for a long time, but im reading as much as i can on the transmission and what i need to go back to a 5 speed so I can be ready when that time comes if it does
Anyways one thing i haven't been able to find yet on my research is the right type of fluid i need for that tranny because im sure im missing some so if anyone has any input i would really appreciate it

welcome. curious; why go back to a 5 speed? also I use Royal Purple Max Gear 75W-9. make sure what ever you use, that its API GL-5 or GL-4 fluid. if not it will eat through your copper synchros.

Not planing to, but if something would go wrong on the future there a lil easier to come by and more reliable for what i seen i guess im just extra careful and like to prep in advance lol lets hope it never happens and thanks for the info i should have plenty of that at work
