just curious if anyone has the proper length of the driveshaft for an S14 with an SR20 to VG30 transmission (Z32) with the Mazworx adaptor. Measured from the transmission seal to the differential 4-bolt flange is the exact length i need.
I bought a trans/adaptor kit for an S13 for a great price and sold the driveshaft which was gonna be too short for my S14 anyway and instead of waiting until i get the motor/trans back in the car in april...if anyone has the exact parts to measure or know what the exact length is supposed to be, i can just have it sitting here and ready to run...without temptation to spend what's collected in my paypal on something else before then lol. I know there are companies that offer these, but i have a local connection to take advantage of if anyone cares to share the length for me...it cant hurt to ask
thanks

I too have the kit. If J doesn't get it for you by morning time, I'll get it for ya.

thanks jr and congrats on the progress on the dyno. I saw your updates earlier today. My VE(T) is almost ready for reassembly finally.

Measured from base with tension against flange as shown

This was the DS included in my Mazworx kit. Fits my NON-ABS S14 like a glove

you rock, thanks man...and for the record, the ABS diff (that i have and failed to specify) is 0.75" longer than the non-abs models...do you have a factory LSD because one thing that i'm not sure of is if one adds a factory LSD to a non-abs/open diff housing, will it move the output to the same length 4-bolt flange as an ABS/LSD housing because of the longer pinion from the LSD?

my car doesn't actually have ABS, but it had VLSD from the previous owner at least and has that ABS diff pictured above. I've switched to HLSD, but I think non-ABS S14s could still come with LSD in which case they had the ABS housing? So Jsimpson's driveshaft is the same length as mine if it's not a welded/open diff...

The differential makes no difference, only the housing makes a difference. If you have the ABS sensor on the snout subtract 1/2 inch from my measurements. I've measured from trans to pinion flange on both diffs and its exactly 1/2 different. I try to avoid ABS housings just because they are more rare, having said that on my S13 I have ran both ABS and NON-ABS and S13 and S14 diffs in it and the stock 2 piece DS "will" work with both, but I prefer matching the DS to the diff (I have both ABS and NON-ABS DS back halfs for that car).
**judging by my pic above, you can see where the seal has been riding on the yoke, pretty damn close to the bottom by the U-joint. If I was going to make a custom DS for an S14, I would subtract 1/2 inch from my measurements and the DS would work perfectly fine with both styles of diffs.

thanks for the experience, looks like 49.4" from seal to diff flange will be good to go.

Does anyone have the dimensions for the Mazworx trans bracket I have one in my car but it is in Colorado and I am Minnesota need to be able to make my VK engine mounts. Can anyone measure from center of the back hole to the center of the hole for the trans mount?
