Hey, I just bought an HKS Revolution Limiter (it allows you to change the rev limit on your car so that you can't rev over your chosen RPM). I bought this item used so it didn't come with any instructions. I tried searching for information on this product by going to HKS's website and other sites on the internet. I can't find any information on it at all! I know the product is probably discontinued but I figured that I could still find some information on it. But no, I didn't even find a mention of it anywhere. Can anyone here give some information on it? I can't figure out how to do the wiring on the product. I have no manual and can't find any wiring diagrams for it. Someone help....?

You can view a picture of the HKS Revolution Limit here (http://www.geocities.com/englishcompandlit/hks.html) (www.geocities.com/englishcompandlit/hks.html)

I am designing a digital rev limiter with digital display. So it functions as a tachometer as well. Unrelated to your issue at hand, but i saw the Bee R rev limiter and the price it was going for and dropped my jaw. My unit will be adjustable in 100 rpm increments up to 10,000 rpm. And priced the way it should
be... affordably. December release date. That HKS unit looks pretty analog with those pots (potentiometers) in the pic. Analog=slow response. Digital=faster response

You should integrate a 2 step limiter into it. I'd buy it for that alone.

Do you mean a warning limit, and a cutout limit?

I mean a launch limiter.

I don't know enough about the workings behind a launch limiter right now. But i will make a note to do some research on it, thanks. That would be quite a product. Sounds like a clutch activated process where it kicks in when your clutch is pushed in. Is this what you mean?

If you could figure it out... run the two step off the speed sensor, so that under 5mph or so it will only rev to that set launch rpm. Thats how alot of ecu/rom tuine companies set it up, and dsmlink does it too

If you can get that 2step at a decent price, i garuntee ill buy one.

Sorry bring up an old thread but, if you could integrate a 2step launch system into what you have in mind...I'm in.

two steps are more difficult then just making your spark go away. They deal with timing as well so it isnt that simple.
