In anticipation of the KTS coilover install, I'm going to need to install spacers and longer lug studs so the stock wheel/tire combination doesn't rub. I've decided that I'll go with Kyo-ei 10mm spacers for now, but I can't figure out whether I should get 50mm or 60mm studs. I'm using closed-end lug nuts, so I'm worried about getting studs that are so long that the lug nuts won't properly tighten the wheel to the hub. Should I just get the 60mm studs and buy some open end lugs for when I change my wheels to 16x7 +40 and spacers to 15mm bolt-ons? I'm kinda on a budget, but I can spend when I have to. Your opinions/experiences are greatly appreciated.

i was under the impression that the KTS/SPL coilovers gave you MORE clearence than other coilovers... So if what you have doesn't rub now then whats the problem?

50mm = 1.969
60mm = 2.362

KTS Coilovers do have a little more clearance then most coilover designs. Although I couldnt imagine it being anymore then then 5mm, if that.

I would get the 60mm personally and get open end lug nuts, you never know if you will want to run a wider spacer later down the road.

with the tein HEs there was about 3mm of space between the HE spring perch and the inside lip of the wheel. it was very close. Now there is about an inch of clearance with the SPLs.

Well, I'm gonna splurge and buy the 60mm Nismo studs, Kyokugen heptagonal lug nuts, and four 10mm Kyo-ei spacers... and still the SPL coilovers are a good deal, at a grand total of $1326.02. (Estimated with taxes and shipping for all parts)

Oem studs are 42mm. I used 8mm spacers with the 50mm nismo studs and everything fit like a glove.
