k well i just got my infinity basslink and mounted it in the trunk. first time with some subs and it seems to make my rear view mirror useless. anyone have a fix or anything they did to lessen the effect on their cars? i want some sort of workaround to atleast make the mirror rattle a little bit less.

you can wrap a grip of rubber bands around the mirror, or epoxy it there. iuno rubber bands and electrical tape worked for me.

if you have a broadway mirror you could use a string to tie from the two holder clasps on the bottom to the top thing where the mirror connects to the ceiling.

Dosconnect the subs. WHat do you want with all that crazy assed bass in your car anyway? That shit was over 15 years ago.

(Just kidding....I love my bass too)

i dunno about the S13 mirrors, but S14 mirrors have a little nub on the back of the stalk, a small piece of fuel hose, or other soft rubber tubing wedged between that and the windshield will damp out the vibration

there is accually a rubber piece that comes from the factory that is installed on the little nub towards the windshield to dampen vibration, unfortunately heat shrinks the rubber and they fall off, so most ppl dont have them, but a small piece of hose can be used in its place and works great.

EDIT: looks like someone beat me to it, guess i shoulda read the whole thread first :Ownedd:

use thick walled rubber tubing, you can prolly get a foot of the stuff from your local autoparts store, doesnt matter what its for, it jus has to be stiff,

install solid engine mounts and you wont blame it on the sub anymore.

then do the rubber tubing. i did it and it eliminated shake on my car 99%. why not? then you can use your mirror for things like SEEING! :aw: :naughtyd: wow! lol. yea dude its a 5 min mod thats priceless as far as i think.
