Has anyone used OEM pressure plates on upgraded clutches?

I need to do what i can to make my car less of a pain.

i've got a stage 4, 6 puck sprung clutch. someone suggested the idea of swapping out the pressure plate to make it easier. i've never heard of this method.

can anyone advise?

If the friction surfaces of the pressure plate and clutch disk match and there is no interference at the hub, it should work. However, by using a pressure plate with a lower clamping force, you will reduce the torque holding capacity.

nailed it.

You CAN use those pressure plates, but why?

Don't deal with headaches.
