My 89 s13 cluster is having some issues, where it shines on the dash just stopped working, the digital speedo will stop working I'll have to hit the dash a few time and it will start again, it doesn't stop because of bumps it will go out driving on a smooth road, I also just put a DOHC tach in and it still won't read my sr signal, I don't want to get a tach interface really, I know you can tap into a wire just not sure which one, also my gas gauge is off, I drove 135 miles and it went down to the e mark, then drove another 135 miles without it moving and never ran out of gas, if anyone has solutions for any of these problems that would be cool!

I'll preface this by saying that ALL, and i mean ALL of this has been addressed several times, not only on this forum but several others, and a cursory google search would've answered every single question. I get that you're younger and haven't been here long, but try and poke around and search before asking other simple questions like this.
The digital speedo and HUD problems are incredibly common. The materials they used weren't really meant for 20+ years of heating and cooling and rattling around. You can try to repair the solder joints on the speedometer and the HUD if you're capable.
The tach should work right out of the box, assuming you have the proper subharness (dunno how you'd install the cluster without it). You should check the dash connector on the passenger side, white plug by the ECU/glovebox. It should've been rewired during the SR swap, it very well could affect your tach and other things. Also FYI the tach signal should be yellow/red PIN 3 on the ECU, tapping the ignitor/coilpacks requires the interface/adapter.
Last but not least, fuel gauge is a very simple system. Relies on a variable resistance sending unit and the gauge itself. Open the gas tank and make sure the sending unit is working and the arm isn't bent. Also its a 20+ year old sending unit so make sure its reading accurately with a multimeter. It's not gonna be 100% accurate all the time unless you're sitting still on a perfectly flat surface. Just get used to filling up when its near 1/4 tank and you won't have any problems. Its better for the fuel pump (hopefully youve got a 255lph for the SR) to be submerged for lubrication and cooling anyway.

I'm mostly concerned about my tach, I've looked everywhere, some say pin 3 others say 22 or 30, also many people say neither of these work, I'm not sure where to be testing to see if any of the wires are getting power, if someone could explain or post a link that would be awesome! Because I seem to not be able to find the sites on my own

And I took the DOHC tach out or it's original cluster and put it in my s13 HUD cluster
