Hey guys, I installed my Injen Intake with the Cold Air Extension and its sucking up my gas like carzy. I have a friend with and S2000 and for him, his intake gave him more milage per gallon. I disconnect my battery to reset my ECU but it still runs extremely rich. Any help would be great for me to know what is wrong, and why I am eating gas like an SUV. I get about 270 miles a tank instead of the usual about 320-350 before the intake.
Thanks

could it be that your gaspedal is heavier after the intake?

Maybe your revving at alot more now cause you like to hear your intake, and thats where your gas is going :D

What's your car again? S13 or S14? Try checking your Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor and your Oxygen Sensor to make sure they are working properly. You might also want to double-check your idle and timing to make sure they are set properly. It's possible that the intake & CAE could have made an existing gas consumption problem that you may have had BEFORE the intake install more noticeable. ...???.....
After I installed my Injen intake & CAE on my S14 KA24DE I noticed a decrease in gas mileage also, but it was due to my LEAD FOOT pressing VERY HARD on the accelerator as I enjoyed the increased horsepower added with the installation of the intake & CAE...hahahhaha.
..luving the fun the intake provided....

theres no way an intake is causing him to run rich. either you now have lead foot syndrome or your ECU is overcorrecting itself.

hmm. did you put the intake air temperature sensor back on? the previous owner left it off on mine and when i put it back on i noticed the car stopped running rich. dunno if the IATS was the reason though, i did alot of tune up shit in a short period of time.
