So I bought an sr tranny for 100 bucks. There is a Tomei short shifter in it and it feels pretty good. I haven't installed the tranny yet though. The guy that sold it to me said it was a rare shifter but I can't really find prices online or reviews or what makes them so great, etc. I figured I'd just sell the shifter and keep rolling with my B&M. Do you guys have any input on it?

PS: sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

Keep the B&M... I'll give you $80 shipped for that crappy Tomei shifter.

I figured i'd get a response like that. I've seen them selling for 250.. There's something special about them.

It says Tomei
People claim they don't rattle as much as other shifters
It says Tomei on it

Why are greddy catch cans so expensive....when they aren't even a true catch can?
Because it says greddy on it.

I asked this question a few years back when I was running a 1st gen B&M. I found my answer by searching on Google. But since you want the easy answer...

1. Its Tomei so its cool since its JDM
2. It has been discontinued for awhile now. Meaning you have to wait till one pops up for sale to get one.
3. Doesn't rattle like 1st gen B&M shifters
4. Its a good balance between the typical super short notchy short shifters and OEM. Keeps the smooth feel and engagement of a OEM shifter while having shorter throw.

Because it's a rebranded C's shifter and C's short shifters seriously shits seashells on the shores of short shifters.
