View Full Version : Best Alarm?
I was wondering what are some of the best alarms out there. I dont have power locks, so keyless entry is not really an issue. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> i was wondering what some of you guys have and if you like it or not. since i gotta protect the system inside  And since i'm gonna do alota add-ons within the next year, so i wanna get this out of the way.

IMHO, Get a cheap ass alarm. The only thing they're good for, is to scare away the casual car thief. If someone really wants that car or something inside it, they're going to take it, and no-one pays attention to car alarms anyway.

Clifford is the best as far as security IMO

everyone i know that has the remote/pager don't even use them. are you really gonna carry that everywhere? besides, if you're a mile from your car, what can you do anyway?
just figure out one thing. would a thief steal your car, or just take stuff from it? then decide what features you need.

yeah, I had a pager on my old VW Bug alarm in 1990! I was in high school then and all my friends thought it was so #### funny when I would come out of class/home/sleep/store/etc. and see them hanging out at my car. After about a month I never carried the thing again!

...simple, but effective.
Get a large (short-haired preferably) dog. No one will mess with your car if theres a rotweiler sitting shotgun.

haha thats what mine was. all it had was a 4 button remote, and a shock and glass tampering sensor. its backed by a $3000 deductable guarantee too. its simple to operate, but you can add all the fancy stuff to it later on.

I agree with the whole if they want it they'll get it, if I ever dump alot of money into an alarm I'll just run voltage through my steering wheel, not enough to kill them cuz I don't want no body in my car. (Hehe, jk I'm not that sick)
You can buy my Alladin 2000 Alarm System + Window Up Down Modules for $250 Shipped.
The modules were $80, so basically you will be getting them for free and free shipping.
