ok, i didnt search, so flame me all you want.
today i was watching some motoring show on speed, with kazzer or whatever.
he test drove a 300zx twin turbo. it had a nitrous which could be turned on and off from 0-3000 rpm to help accelerate during turbo lag .before the turbo kicked in. has anyone tried this? im just sr shopping and i thought this would be a good idea. :w00t:

Nitrous is tricky, and is generally used in conjunction with turbo's only when your using a huge turbo, and need some help spooling it at lower rpm's. Usually drap app's only.

I think in that situation, he was just using it to make up for the lack of low end grunt he had with his larger than stock turbo's. (I think??)

No one ever does it on SR's b/c they usually don't use turbo's that have problems spooling.

nitrous can be used on a turbo car just fine, and not necessarily to spool a turbo. i sprayed my subaru WRX, which had no problems with lag to begin with. Ran 12.20's with a stock turbo and a 50 shot. And im debating pretty hard on putting that same kit on my S13 with GTiR turbo/480cc's, etc

That 300zx you spoke of had a JWC ECU with a nitrous controller built in. If you get big laggy turbos you can spray NO2 till you start getting boost (hense the 3k) to spool up faster.
