Hey everyone,
I have been thinking about aswap for awhile and found this canadian based company that will sell the following:
engine, tranny, ecu, turbo $1549.00... For $200.00 extra you will receive an uncut wiring harness, for another $100.00 you can get the MAF Sensor, and the igniter chip is also another $100.00 engine will have 40-55k miles
(prices are in USD)

I'm just wondering if thats a good deal, and if theres anything else i would need other then an intercooler...thining about a greddy anyway! I don't know if uncut is the way to go, since theres lots of diagrams on how to wire it in anyway...but would be less of a 'pita'

letme know what u think

thanks

this all depends on your experience with working on cars.
Have you swapped an engine before? There's a ton of things you'll not have planned to have to buy/replace, so the rule of thumb is typically:
- get a whole clip
- have about $1k in "oh crap" money handy

Now on the place you're looking, you'll need all that stuff you mentioned, which puts the price at near $2k?! is that canadian dollars or american? once you pass the $2k USD mark, you should be getting a full clip IMHO.

The search button is your friend ;)

Get the front clip. It "should" have everything you need to get the swap done.

so essentially, $2k for a motorset? You'll still need ~$1k in parts to get it going.. may as well get a clip!
It'll be WAY less of a PITA.
