Is there a difference in the placement of the throttle body b/w the s13 and s14 KA's?
I'm curious, b/c I think I'd like to use the Greddy KA turbo intercooler kit, but it's for an S14, and I have no idea if it will work on an s13. I'm guessing the big difference (if any) would be in TB placement.

the stock manifolds are very nearly identical
the s13 has the secondary butterflys, but that is the only difference that i know of (my S14 has the stuff for them but the holes are plugged)
the largest difference that i can imagine is routing around the headlights in the S13, since the pop-ups take up so much more space than the fixed S14 lights

I'm using a S13 cold pipe fpor the SR on my KA-T, and it's almost a direct fit.
Based on that, you can assume that the GReddy S14 KA-T pipe will fit just fine on your S13.
The headlights are in front of the core support, so they really don't affect fitment...and the battery tray locations are almost identical between S13 and S14.
Any GReddy cold pipe will go right through there...so I'm sure it's fine.
The real difference isn't the piping, but the mounting brackets...and that's an easy fix with a few small bends and a little flat steel bar to make brackets (from what I've read, mine is a S14 intercooler).

cool.
I was reading on your site about using the s13 cold pipe, I just wasn't sure if the s14 TB was placed differently than an s13..
I guess if it is, it can't be so far that a rubber coupler couldn't make the difference.
What I'm thinking:
SS Autocrack t25 bottom mount KA manifold
T25 or t28 (not sure which yet.. mostly a budget decision)
Enjuku hot pipe w/ bov flange (and bov)
Greddy KA intercooler kit
whatever turbo outlet, and downpipe I can find cheap. Probably the ss autochrome outlet, and a 5zigen dp. :wiggle:
Probably gonna try and run a hacked MAF w/ 370's with an S14 MAF. I'm pretty sure they have the same voltage curve, but I will probably have to play with tube sizing to get the a/f right.
any idea's or input?
Thanks!

S13 and S14 MAF voltage curve is pretty different...we couldn't get the "test" S13 to even idle properly with an S14 MAF...and it certainly wouldn't rev smoothly.
I have a spare S13 MAF, and a spare set of 370cc injectors...so I'm gonna try to hack the S13 MAF here soon...I'll report what I find out. I can't boost it, but I can try it out N/A...
Otherwise, the S13 and S14 KA throttle body placement is IDENTICAL. No worries there...
